Smiling Planet bedding
Organic kids bedding featuring doves, elephants, Buddha and yoga…
This weekend was a big one for milestones in our household – we moved our baby girl from her bassinet into her cot and our little man slept in his big boy bed for the first time. Thankfully, he took to the new sleeping arrangement like a duck to water and spent yesterday afternoon declaring: “I like my new bed! I like my bed!” Phew. Turns out it was Mum who found it difficult to accept the transition. I simply wasn’t prepared for my toddler to look so grown up propped up against his adult-size pillow.
The day before we’d been shopping for a quilt cover for our little man’s new bed and his love of cars had won out over my hope to keep a shared boy/girl room stylish. My husband had refereed to make sure the choice was a fair one. In my right hand was my preference and in my left was the quilt cover I knew our son was going to choose – cars.
Luckily for me my husband agreed that we’d need spare bedding, because now I have an excuse to buy a set of Smiling Planet’s new 100% organic cotton range. It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Think eco-chic Indian decor turned kids bedding.
Ranges include names like Pink Buddha, Small Elephant, Pink Dove and Yoga Elephant. I had my eye on the Small Elephant for All Abroad J and when I showed him a picture, to my surprise he said: “Elephants – want this one!”. That’s my boy.
Smiling Planet bedding has just been released in limited edition and is available at Shak-Shuka (who delivers worldwide for €6.95).
